Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read, browse, or skim over my blog! I Appreciate any and all efforts. I am by no means a master baker, I am just a girl who loves her sweets. I am a new wife and a new mom, I have a little girl who is the greatest person in the world, my world. I hope to share baking with her as she gets older.
I remember standing high on a chair to reach the counter with my mother to help her stir the cake batter, or cookie dough or frosting. I was a great taste tester too, still am. As I got older I enjoyed baking cookies, cakes, pies, anything really. I had the tendency to treat baking recipes as if they were cooking recipes. As many should know baking is a more of a science, each element is important and changing one element the slightest chances the outcome completely. I would treat my baking with a 'smidge of this', or a 'pinch of that'. I've created many things that have never been able to duplicate just right.
Since then I have taken the time to pay attention to my baking. As an introverted person I find it extremely enjoyable to spend all day alone in my kitchen baking sweets. I've shared my cookies, cakes, pies and treats with my family and friends and now I'd like to take the time to share my recipes as well.

I'm dying to try the coconut/mocha whoopie pies. They look delicous! What a great idea to use chocolate for the figurines. I get LOTS of compliments on the clay figurine you made of Lizzie. Every detail is perfect!
