Chocolate Peanut Butter Whoopie

Chocolate Peanut Butter Whoopie

Whoopie
1 2/3 C Flour
2/3 C Coco Powder
1 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp Salt
4 Tbsp Butter
4 Tbsp Shortening
1 Egg
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 C Milk
1 C Brown Sugar

Peanut Butter Frosting
2 C Powdered Sugar
1/2 C Peanut Butter
1 Stick Butter
1/2 Tbsp Vanilla
3 Tbsp Half&Half or Cream 


PREHEAT OVEN TO 375

Combine Flour, Salt, Baking Soda, and Coco.

In a mixing bowl combine butter, shortening, and brown sugar.
Mix until creamy.

Add the Egg and Vanilla and mix until light and creamy.
Add half the flour mix to your mixing bowl and mix on slow, gradually add the rest of your flour and your milk. Mix until smooth and chocolatey.

On a cookie sheet put 1 tbsp round drops on the sheet and place in oven for approximately 8-10 minutes, time varies to ovens.

Remove from oven and put whoopies on a cooling rack until ready to frost.  


While cooling prepare your frosting. 

 The frosting is simple, combine all of your ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix on medium to high until light and fluffy.

Once your whoopies are cool, frost one whoopie and top with another!

  3. Made these last night with several revisions to eliminate eggs and peanut butter. They came out fantastic!!! Family loved them....
